Wash Pillow Cases
Why specifically pillow cases? Well for starters… you put your head on them to sleep!
It doesn’t matter if you wash your face before bed every single night, the oils from your skin and hair can absorb into your pillow case. And if you’re one of those who sweat and drool in your sleep… then this is a tip you do not want to forget.
Don’t Rely On Makeup Wipes
Yes makeup wipes can seem like they get the job done, but next time try using another after you are done using one. You will notice that there is still makeup on your face! In order to get a full cleanse, use a washcloth with some coconut oil to take off makeup. Throw some fresh water on your face after and you are good to go!
Like most other 21 year old girls with a busy life, I tend to get a bit lazy when it comes to taking off my makeup before bed. However, I am more prone to waking up with a chance of some pimples… believe me. That is why it is SO important for makeup to be removed 100% before you go to sleep.
Watch Your Diet
Believe it or not, your diet can have a huge impact on your skin. Foods such as fried chips, pasta, white bread, and sweets can cause acne. Try eating more nutritious foods such as fruit and vegetables. Also DRINK WATER!!!!
Avoid Popping Pimples
Although pimple popping is somewhat oddly satisfying (speaking for myself) it is not recommended. If you squeeze a pimple on your face it just irritates the zit even more. Eventually, you could leave a scar on your face. Instead, put acne treatment onto the area that is breaking out. Trust me, a few weeks with a zit is better than a blemish that will last a lifetime!
