With Mother’s Day tomorrow, let’s talk about what we can do to make our moms happy on their special day.
Let’s face it, we would not be half the person we are today if it wasn’t for our mom. Since you were born, she has been by your side catering to all of your needs. No matter how many arguments you get into, she always has your best interest at heart.
Mother’s Day is for you to show your appreciation to your mom for loving you and teaching you to grow up to be a responsible adult. Are you stumped on ideas of what to do? I got you.
Check out these ideas on celebrating your mom this Mother’s Day.
Come on, we all love food. Personally, I love treating my mom to a nice dinner where she doesn’t have to worry about the cooking. Garlic Prime Steak & Seafood on Main Street in Stroudsburg is a perfect spot to pamper your mom. I mean, with a special Mother’s Day menu, you really can’t go wrong!
If you’d rather stay in, consider making your mom a home cooked meal. Personally, my mom loves when I cook for her. It’s her time to sit back, relax and enjoy a nice home cooked meal.
Every mom has some type of box or storage bin stashed away with crafts made by their kids dating back to preschool. I mean, moms love thing handmade things made by their kids. Why not continue the tradition? Get out the craft bin and get creative! Pinterest has thousands of ideas of things that the two of you could make together.
On the other hand, ff your mom is a social butterfly, check out a local paint and sip! Have a blast painting with your mom accompanied with a glass of wine. I mean, it’s a win-win!
Flea and Farmers Markets
Some people might not relate to this, but don’t knock it unless you’ve tried it! My mom and I love going to flea and farmers markets. I mean, finding unique items, great deals and eating amazing food sounds like the perfect day, doesn’t it? Even if you don’t find anything to buy, it’s a great way to get out of the house and at least get some exercise. Some are even dog friendly!
Netflix and Chill
Maybe your mom had a long work week and just doesn’t feel like getting out of her PJ’s and putting a bra on. I mean, Sundays are meant to be free, right? Why not join the fun (sorry boys)?! Find a bunch of movies or tv shows, gather up the junk food, grab a blanket and do a marathon day. Sometimes, just staying in and chilling with your mom all day on the couch is the best gift your could give her. Hell’s Kitchen is usually our go-to; but hey, there’s no better time than now to see what all the hype is about Game of Thrones!
No matter what you do tomorrow, just enjoy Mother’s Day and the time you get to spend with your mom. She loves you and will enjoy anything that you choose to do. This year, Mother’s Day is very special for my mom since I fulfilled her dream of being the first one in our family to graduate from college today. I know she’ll say it’s the only gift she’ll need, but I’ll make sure she knows just how much I appreciate her.
Thank you mom for everything you have done for me, I love you.
