Texas Tech Advance to Their First Championship Game

Championship

Texas Tech is advancing to their first ever March Madness Championship. The Raiders pulled off an upset on Saturday and beat Michigan State 61-51.

How? Their defense showed up and came to play. In fact, both defenses were impressive. I mean, in the first half there was a period when neither team scored any points in over five minutes!

The Final Four game got even more intense in the second half. In fact, the Raiders broke through and extended their lead over Michigan State to the double digits. Thank you Matt Mooney, who scored 22 points throughout the entire game.

Michigan State didn’t back down and fought to bring the score within 1 point of Texas Tech. However, the Raiders were on a mission and shut them down with an impressive layup and 3-point shot by Jarrett Culver. Signed, sealed, delivered.

With the win, Texas Tech are advancing to their first National Championship game against Virginia. In fact, both teams have never won a title.

Tune in Monday night at 9:20pm to find out who takes home the gold!
