Society tends to look down on those who depend on smoking the drug, Marijuana. But could it be the answer to living a blissful and settle life? From a non-smoker perspective, even I am aware of the benefits that Marijuana has to offer.
Marijuana can reduce stress and anxiety if consumed in a recommended dosage. This alone can help people live a more joyful and anxiety-free life. For instance, those suffering from PTSD are given medical Marijuana to help as a coping mechanism.
My sister has Crohn’s disease and deals with uncontrollable, and intense, abdominal pains. However, she was able to cure her discomfort with medical Marijuana.
Cancer patients are also prone to use medical Marijuana to treat the restless feelings of nausea and vomiting from Chemotherapy. Other than treating the side effects from Chemo, Marijuana also has the ability to stop cancer cells from spreading throughout the body.
Used with common sense, Marijuana is the safest drug when compared to man-made drugs such as Opioids, Xanax, Cocaine or even alcohol. Unlike these drugs, Marijuana is purely natural.
Did you know? Each year, it 88,000 individuals have died from an alcohol-related event. Marijuana has had zero.
Clearly, Marijuana is a social concept. I mean come on, who wouldn’t want to smoke a blunt and chill out with friends after a long day? Double bonus, you won’t feel hungover the next day! Don’t get me wrong, alcohol is a fun vice, but we are more likely to make regrettable decisions while drunk than high.
Medical Marijuana is legal in 33 states; but, recreational Marijuana is legalized in only 10. Knowing the benefits this drug has to offer, shouldn’t it be legalized everywhere?
