Endgame: Sometimes the Best We can Do is Start Over

By: Rebecca Stephens

Marvel just dropped the second trailer for Avengers: Endgame this morning and it is the perfect way to start your Thursday. If you want your mind blown, watch the trailer here and meet me below to take a deep dive into what our surviving heroes might be in for in the future.

Start Over

“Sometimes the best we can do is start over…”

The trailer opens with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) floating around in a spaceship that resembles a tin can with wings, speaking about remorse. Something that sets the tone for the rest of the trailer as scenes of Iron Man, Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and other Avengers origin stories play out. Talk about #ThrowbackThursday.

While all the survivors of Thanos are back in action, heroes not featured in Avengers: Infinity War like Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) sporting a new mohawk-mullet hairstyle and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), who squeezed himself out of the Quantum Realm into modern day, join the team to help plan a way to save those who have perished. Or more like disintegrated, I guess?

Our favorite remaining heroes, including Iron Man and Nebula who we last saw stuck in space, are all united in the shiniest white and red armor I’ve ever seen. I mean did you see that armor? #SquadGoals, am I right? The Avengers and company’s new outfits look similar to Ant-Man’s armor, which means the crew is probably going into the Quantum Realm, where time vortexes can be found.

At the end there is a great scene between Thor and Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Captain Marvel has come to help the Avengers, something we knew was coming since the end of Avengers: Infinity War. And I’m going to have to agree with the God of Thunder when he said “I like this one.”

Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters April 26.
