Full House fans are going crazy over Aunt Becky.
Brace yourself. Because, news broke today about Aunt Becky being one of the 50 people charged in a bribery scandal. To make matters worse, it’s views as the largest college admissions bribery case.
33 parents are charged with taking part cheating on the SAT and ACT. Parents were paying coaches enormous amounts of money to accept their kids into elite Universities and Colleges. In fact, some coaches were pretending that the students were highly recruited athletes when they didn’t even play. Disturbing, right?
I wouldn’t be surprised if more names were added to the list. I mean, the case involves 200 federal agents and is referred to as “Operation Varsity Blues.”
U.S. attorney, Andrew Lelling, says “This case is about…wealth combined with fraud. There can be no separate college admissions system for the wealthy, and I will add there will not be a separate criminal justice system either.” Well said Lelling, well said.
Actress Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives) and Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky) are those on the accused list. Huffman paid $15k to facilitate cheating for her daughter on the SATS. There is even a recorded phone conversation for proof from a cooperating witness. Can’t get out of that one, honey.
Loughlin is facing the same charges for conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. Her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, is also on the list. Should have stuck with Uncle Jessy.
Because of the news, Twitter is blowing up.
“So Aunt Becky from Full House and Lynette Scavo from Desperate Housewives are involved in this college exam scheme and have been charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud. Why is everything so weird now.” @philip_Lewis_
“Aunt Becky paid $500,000 to bribe her daughters’ way into USC? A HALF MILLION DOLLARS just to get them into USC? How bad were their grades and test scores?” @Old_Billy_Baroo
